Are walk in sessions available?
No. All appointments must be scheduled in advance.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Phone (717) 737-9401 to make an appointment. Please leave your message on the confidential voicemail, including your name and telephone number. Your phone call will be returned as soon as possible.
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, I do not participate in any insurance provider plans. Accordingly, payment in full is required at the first appointment.
This is not to say that services will not be covered by insurance plan. Consider asking your insurance company if you have any out– of –network benefits. If so, you may receive reimbursement from your insurance company, despite having to pay out of pocket at first. Many people find this to be worthwhile, since it affords the opportunity to work with a provider of your choosing versus being forced to stay within the insurance network.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have about filing a claim with your insurance company.
It is your responsibility to complete your claim form, attach the statement, and forward it to your insurance company. Subsequent reimbursement from your insurance carrier for fees that you have paid for your treatment should be sent to you directly. Always keep copies of your statements and claims sent to your insurance company for your records.
Billing Codes:
The intial session is 90801. Sessions your child attends alone are 90806. Sessions attended by parents only are 90846. Sessions children attend with parent(s) are 90847. These codes are provided so that you may inquire about the details of coverage.
Evaluations:
In contacting your insurance provider, it is important to inquire specifically about your coverage for a psychological evaluation or for a battery of psychologist tests (versus coverage for on-going psychological therapy). It is not uncommon for insurance companies to reimburse poorly or sometimes not at all for psychological evaluations. A statement that contains all necessary information for submission to your insurance company will be provided to you at the last evaluation session.
Therapy:
Because insurance companies require a diagnosis for reimbursement, the first statement (in therapy) is provided after the first several appointments, at which point there should be adequate information to determine the presence of a diagnosis, if any. Subsequent statements will be provided at each therapy session.
Payment is expected at time of service. Cash, checks and credit cards are acceptable forms of payment.
Hours:
Office appointments are scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
