Dr. Sauvé is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist who works with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of difficulties. Her particular areas of interest are comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders. In addition, she also is available for consultative work with school systems to develop effective behavioral intervention plans to guide effective behavior management skills and associated positive child behavior.
Dr. Sauve earned her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical and School Psychology in 2000 through a five year APA accredited doctoral program at Hofstra University. As part of her program, Dr. Sauve also received a Master of Arts (M.A.) with distinction from Hofstra University in 1996. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology (with Honors) from Gettysburg College in 1994.
Dr. Sauve has worked in school districts in both New York and Pennsylvania as a school psychologist. In this role, she provided diagnostic psychoeducational evaluations to children and adolescents and developed and implemented behavioral intervention plans on both the individual and classroom level. Dr. Sauve also has experience working in the healthcare environment, including both inpatient psychiatric hospitals and community mental health outpatient programs. Dr. Sauve began her private practice in 2007. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Hofstra University, Gettysburg College and Dickinson College.
Dr. Sauve is an active member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, Obsessive Compulsive Foundation, the Anxiety Disorders Association of America and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.
